Strong has compiled a 16-20 record in his two-plus seasons as Texas’ coach, never once coaching his team to a winning record. The Longhorns failed to qualify for a bowl game last season after Strong led his first Texas squad to one in 2014 (a 31-7 loss to Arkansas in the Texas Bowl).
