Gardner made an acrobatic, one-handed catch as he fell out of bounds for a 20-yard completion from quarterback Gus Ragland in the first quarter of Miami’s game against Bowling Green Saturday.

The catch was so unexpected, the play-by-play announcer just assumed the pass had been thrown out of bounds beyond Gardner’s reach. It set the RedHawks up on the 1-yard-line for an eventual touchdown run.
Miami led 19-17 at the half, and Gardner had eight catches for 115 yards.
