Instead of Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn and other stars from the 2004 comedy, we see Hill and Smith, plus Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic of “Mike and Mike in the Morning,” gearing up for a rumble with rival Trey Wingo and the villainous crew from “NFL Live.”

But wait.
Before fists fly, cast members from other shows, including Kevin Negandhi, Jay Harris, Jaymee Sire, Sarina Morales and Randy Scott from “SportsCenter: AM,” want a piece of the action.
Ditto for a pipe-smoking Jeremy Schaap of the E:60 investigative news team. And the gang from Nacion ESPN.
Spot the cameos by former NFL players Jerome Bettis and Tom Waddle:
During the big showdown, Harris suffers a serious wound from Schaap. Hill drives a trident into somebody’s chest. Then Hill and Smith talk over the day’s action in Smith’s office. Hill advises his partner she might want to “lay low” for a while at rival FS1, which nobody watches anyway.
ESPN certainly didn’t cheap out on this one. It has 1970’s era costumes and special effects.
