In the second period, Larsen was carrying the puck behind the Canucks’ net when Devils forward Taylor Hall went in on a forecheck and caught Larsen upside the head with his right shoulder. Larsen dropped straight to the ice and lay on his back, apparently unconscious, while players scuffled around him and medical staff rushed to his aid in a frightening scene at Prudential Center.

Earlier, in the first period, Devils forward Travis Zajac emerged bloodied, but OK, after falling face first into the boards in another scary scene.
