England bowler Broad and fellow seamer Fletcher put on a brisk 35 for the eighth wicket in the morning session on the final day of their County Championship clash against Worcestershire.
Broad made a quickfire 38, but might have wished he had been dismissed sooner after he needed a check-over from the physio following a heavy collision with Fletcher when they set off for a single.
Fletcher’s clean-striking also put Broad in danger, the towering 31-year-old having to take evasive action on a couple of occasions when his partner smashed boundaries down the ground.
Nottinghamshire posted an Instagram clip of the mid-wicket collision captioned ‘DON’T MESS WITH LUKE FLETCHER’ after they won by an innings and 41 runs.
