Vinatieri’s kick appeared to head wide right but suddenly took a sharp left turn mid-flight between the uprights.
This isn’t the first time Vinatieri made a clutch kick in winter weather.
During a snowy 2001 playoffs, when he was with the Patriots, Vinatieri kicked a 45-yard field goal against the Raiders to tie the game 13-13 and send it into overtime.
Unfortunately for Vinatieri and the Colts, the Bills would go on to win Sunday’s game, 13-7. Viniatieri missed what would have been a game-winning field goal as time expired in regulation.
